Green Terror showing increasingly aggressive behavior!

Hello all,

I have a couple of Green Terrors in my tank mixed in with some Goldfish, 2 Pl*cos and 1 Irridescent shark. One of the GT's has started growing and right now, he's about the same size as the 4 biggest goldfish. The other GT, which I suspect is a female is smaller. The bigger GT is starting to develop that 'hump' in his head. Anyway, I've noticed that the bigger GT is starting to really get nasty with the other fish, with the exception to the shark and the Pl*cos, which he doesn't fool with at all. He's practically chasing the smaller GT every minute of the day and when he's not doing that, he's bullying the Goldfish. Is it getting closer to the time for me to move him out and into another tank? I don't want to interfere with the pecking order in the tank but he's really getting besides himself now!

ok first of all, you need to know that GTs are aggresive fish in the first place, and can and may kill some of the other fish in the tank if you do not take them out at the right time. GTs also get to be around 12" Max.

I would put the GTs in a larger tank 65g+. recommend a 80g+. with good filtration as they are messy eaters also and will get very tempermental with age esp the male.

What kind of goldfish do you have? common, oranda, etc?
What size are the GTs? approx. inches

Well, I know that they are aggressive fish. The male is just about 3.5 inches and the female is around 3 even. The goldfish were feeder fish and the biggest 4 are around 4 inches now. I'm in the process of securing a 55 gallon tank. How much longer do you think I have before the GT's get to the point where they want to eat everything else in the tank? And also, why is it that he leaves the Pl*co and the Shark alone but bullies everyone else?
