BTW I do not go diving and did not take that pic, but liked it and stuck it up there just to bother my wife. I keep telling her I'm going to get a great white shark and that was the cloest thing I had.
Do I have any compatablity problems? No, not really in the 265. The jag, trimac, midas, were all purched at the same time at a size of 2 inches and have lived in the 265 there entire lives. The dovii was introduced 2 years latter at a size of 5 inches. I have been trying to keep a mature male dovii in moderatly stocked cichlid community So far so good. When the dovii reaches a size of 18 inches or becomes too aggressive he will be moved to the 450 gal. community tank. I have had problems in the past with other similer combinations (minus the dovii). I also would not recommend housing a adult dovii with another guapote (the jaguar) As this combo rarely work even in large 8 foot tanks. finally an adult dovii can easily liquidate a midas or trimac if he wanted to, so some care, aggression control and close attention to there behavior will be needed to keep the dovii aggression in check (if possible) when he gets bigger and meaner.
