Grins' 55g Reef

Welcome Back Grins!!!!

Still loving the tank and agree.. Its time for an RBTA.. Gotta give the guys/gals a home don't you think???

<insert evil laugh here>

You know the newbies are going to think we all recommend anemones for all clowns. Dear newbies (I'm one of you by the way)...you do NOT need an anemone for your clownfish, these people are simply being evil and trying to corrupt me with a beautiful rbta. ::sigh::

I saw "Finding Nemo"....they certainly do need an anemone! :D

SNAP OPUT OF IT!!!! we almost had ya join the anemone side muahahaha :devil:
RBTA's are a lovely additions..and clowns lub them :grinyes:

even tank raised clowns love them.. mine took to my bta after 2 days...

why i wish i hadn't gotten a bta:

1. it walked over a rock and now is between a rock and the back wall... so now i can't see it unless it REALLLLY streches out...

2. i never get to see my clown that is hosting it because it is on the backside of my rockwork

3. it poops 1-2 days after you feed it, and i covers adjacent rocks with slime...

4. everytime after i feed it, it shrivles up and i think OMG i killed it... (its just constipated...)

but i still love my addition, and i know my clown does as well... im just not going to feed it as much... then its all good!

OK, so one of my mushrooms unattached itself from it's rock the other day. But oddly it took a small piece of rock with it. Strange I thought. Anyhow, I haven't yet attached it to something and when picking it up off the sand this evening I noticed the strangest thing on it at the mouth. I even touched it to see if it was nudi but doesn't appear to be. And if you look at the top center of it over the mouth you'll see another small "growth" that has started. Anyone seen this before?

And since I'm posting a few other photos. First one is of one of the orange ball anemones that also came on the same rock.

Another photo zoomed out a bit to catch one one to it's left with a bit of food it has caught. There are maybe 7 of these things on the rock.

These polyps crack me up the way there is an arrow pointing to each of the mouths. They are also super fast growers and a freebie from a local reefer.

and lastly a close up of my orange monti cap since Halloween is almost here.
