Grins' 55g Reef

I have two 65wt PC bulbs on the fuge on a reverse light schedule, it has been in there for at least 6 or7 months now(kept moving when I would change something leaving a path of destruction), I will be putting it in the tank for my wife, it will just have fish, maybe some other softies. I can't remember if I tried to talk you out of it or not, but oh well, we live and learn, I guess. Yeah I saw you broke the Koralia, I don't think any type of glue or epoxy would hold on something so small and thin, an awful lot of stress on that joint/shaft. Are they sending you a knew one? I hope so. I hope your head gets better. I've only ever had one of those before, lasted the whole day, but was gone the next. I do remember that it was very unpleasant to say the least. Get better.

Yes, Hydor was great about offering to send an entire replacement magnentic mount at no charge to me. The bear of it is of course that once it gets back in the tank it is going to change the flow AGAIN and we all know what that means by now in my tank.

I would see if anyone in your reef club wants it, that is if you're done with it. The one I have is my wife's favorite thing, so getting rid of it is sort of out of the question. I really hope it causes you no more problems.

I was ready to toss it in my driveway a couple of times, but I was not allowed, no matter how many death marks on my corals(not my wife's fav)$$$$ going down the tubes is what I see for a 30 or 40 dollar animal. Like I said I hope it starts to behave for you, you need a break from all this bad stuff.

Seriously Almond, when you read up on them did you have any idea they would move THIS much?

I didn't think they would move this much at all.. And why yours seems destined to reside near or on a power head is just wierd to me.. I mean between yours wanting to become sushi and salty's getting all tangled up in her PH its like these things must have either be really smart (going I'll teach them for putting me in a tank) or as dumb as a box of rocks.

As always I wish you the best..

Thanks, once I get the second Koralia back in the tank and things back to normal hopefully it will settle back down. If it doesn't appear that is going to happen I'll have to consider giving it a new home. I'm starting to feel like it hates me. Maybe because it flipped me the bird?

I thought they would move a little and then quickly settle in...even this am mine has moved again and not in places I would think it would like to be - and naturally it is going to be a pain to try and feed it in the new position. Behind a rock in the back of the tank facing the back...UUUGH :angryfire:
