Sorry to hear that.

If I ever set up a reef, I think that if (against my own better judgement) I add any 'nems, they'll go in 1st. Corals, later - and at a safe distance. Even at that, I like carpets better than other 'nems and (if memory serves) they can sting as well or better than any others (except aiptasia & condylactus).

I'm glad I just read through the last several pages of this. Now I can stop wanting a RBTA. At least my Flower Nem is about the same color as a Rose. I'm sorry you had to lose yours.

Is there another type you would have or recommend? I like how the carpets look too, need to read up on those.

I'd still say a BTA would be a good starting anemone. I just got hold of one that was a pain in the neck. A large tank like yours could have a carpet but I'd not do it with your stock. Some of what you have such as the blenny could be an easy snack.
