Grins' 55g Reef

ahhh, good to know. Scootie is not going to be anyone's lunch!

These aren't my photos but they are photos of what I picked up at yesterday's frag trade:

Hairy Sinularia, this is a small frag, I picked up a large one. This photo doesn't do it justice. It is a beautiful deep purple color at the base.

Yeah.. I already told you I'm jealous.. But I still think I like my coral beauty more.. :)

So is it just SPS that I need to avoid with my Coral Beauty? Cuz I love mine too. And she was my 11th anniversary gift, so, uhhhh, I'd be in trouble if I even thought about giving her up. ;)

Gorgeous frags! I can't WAIT to go to the next swap here in town!

Every angel is different. Mine happens to like SPS corals. But yes that is mostly what I've heard they like to feast on... I've not heard of them eating Zoas.. But there is always a first time. I've not had mine touch any of my softies.

Grins, Isn't Sinularia the one leather that should be avoided when keeping SPS unless you run carbon on a regular basis? The whole chemical warfare thing, or is it made out to be more than it really is?.

I asked about that Sch because I have been avoiding leathers entirely due to SPS and even the LPS frankly. I looked at the tanks these came from though and sure enough they were living peacefully in amazing reefs without carbon 24/7. I don't know if this particular type of sinularia is different than others though.
