ground cover for low light aquarium

I don't understand how this place works. Is there some way to know if some one responds?

Anyway.

I can't find it locally. In the ago I was told it takes a lot of light, but I want to grow it in the shadows of some larger plants. Does it need substrate fertilizer? I want it small.

Leopardess, thanks for the info and pictures ! I like that marsilea plant...the room that I have the tank in is a well sunlit room...southfacing with a window on the south and a double french door towards the west...so the room gets plenty of light. Where the tank sits gets direct sunlight for a brief period in the evening at certain times of the year....lol...I may give that one a try...it may not grow much, but if I get enough of it maybe there's enough light to at least keep it fairly healthy looking.

I don't think I like the look of that moss bedding though...at least not in the tank they have it set up in that pic you linked to. It looks too much like algae for me, I get enough of that on my own without having to pay for it...lol.....
