if i were to put some fish tank water in a jar and put some flourish trace into a jar and put it outside where it can get sunlight, would algae grow in the jar??? if so, how long until it started to grow??

just put the jar in direct sunlight and you should have algae in a few days.
I have been wondering if the algae in the birdbath is ever going to die and give up. I don't dose my birdbath and algae grows in three days guaranteed.

to try to feed it to some brine shrimp so i can see for myself how easy it is to grow them out...
i didnt mean last today, i started to say last night and i realized that it was today.... and dont you think that the bubbles from the air tube stresses them or anything??? i wonder if the algae will be enought to keep their "fishtank" full of oxygen... i mean when it gets started tho'
Try just a pinch of normal garden fertilizer.
Add water.
That will grow all sorts of greenery

do you think garden ferts will be ok for the shrimp?? how about some miracle grow sticks or jobes sticks....
Sure, just don't add too much etc.
Remember, GW once growing is easy to keep going.
So you can change 1/2 the water etc, then add FW back and add KNO3 from then on. Artemia are pretty tough.
