Growing Coraline?????

Ok i have several pieces of LR that i purchased that were covered with live rock, although the rest of my Lr and baserock don't have any. I have been trying to spread it around but i have had no luck. Any suggestions? I have been using fiji gold as a buffer for ph, calcuim, and kh and it seems to work well.

ph 8.3, 10ppm nitrates, 0ppm nitrites,

Also if possible i can not for the life of me get my nitrates down lower than 10, i have done water changes by 25%, also added chaeto macro algae to help eat it. Any ideas for this?
 
How long has your tank been up and running? Coraline algae takes some time to spread, even under the proper conditions. If you keep your calcium, alkalinity, and magnesium levels in the proper range, it'll be everywhere soon enough (and you'll likely wish it wasn't).

If you have MH lighting, it can actually be too bright for coraline to grow all over everything. Typically, in tanks where this is the case, coraline can be found in the shadows and the lip of the underside of the rockwork.

It's hard to really suggest anything specific to help lower nitrates without knowing more about your set-up and maintenance / feeding schedule. Please describe those in detail, and it'll be easier to make a useful suggestion.
