Now I've got a pressurised CO2 system on my 55 gallon (4 x 35watts fluorescent) I'm going to try the above (I can mail order them in the UK). However, I know this plant has a rep. for being tricky; I've googled the various pages but wonder if the experienced chaps and chappettes here have any personal tips.

I heard that some Amano shrimp will plant them for you

I didnt have any luck with it, keep us posted on your experience! Such a lovely plant to be so complicated.

With the CO2 you have a chance. The light may be a bit on the low side. When you plant it, take your time and plant each plant individually and spread them out in a grid. Good luck, it does look nice if it does well.

Will give it a go then. Hopefully the fish more inclined to dig up my plants will leave it alone; they tend to go for the taller ones.

I'd have thought that 140/55 = 2.5WPG would have been enough - how much is recommended?

that should be fine with the addition of co2.
