how fast does a clown pleco grow. mine is 3 in

mine has only grown about a 1/2in in the three months i have had him and i think this is very slow

wow how big do they get i hear 5-7 inches long

I had 1 for 8 or 10 years. He was barely 3 inches total ever. Same for another after 7-8 years.

I've had my clown plec for about a year and he's grown from 2 1/2 to about 4 1/2 inches.

I wonder if it's a case of misidentification through common names or maybe a size difference by gender.
