I'd love to show off my seahorse tank but I can't!!!!
For the last 4 months I've been setting up a tank using established rock and water from my main tank. I had a pair of seahorses, a longhorn cow fish (only til he was big enough to go in my main tank - my other fish thought he was a lump of cheese he was so small), a cleaner shrimp, hermit crab and snail.
Here they all are:
Ermintrude the cowfish

the seahorses Zebedee & Florence

And the evil little (insert any swear word of your choosing) that killed them all!!!!!!!

Yup a 2 inch green mantis shrimp!!
I lost the seahorses last week along with a yellow goby that I hadn't even taken a photo of. Of course everyone was accusing my cowfish but considering him and the other inverts were still alive I didn't think it was him. So when I woke up this morning to see just my cleaner shrimp, crab and snail milling around I knew something had happened to Ermintrude as he was always at the front waiting for breakfast. After dismantling the tank I found him underneath the rocks (dead impressed he didn't release any toxins to kill my CUC)I then knew that something else was at wotk. So I dipped every single bit of rock in freshwater and sure enough, at the bottom of the bucket there was the green monster!!!!
Grrrrrrrr
Rant over!!!!
