GSP spots fading?

Yeah, it unpuffed fine after a minute or so. I kept it in the net to monitor it in case I needed to "burp" it.

At this small size are baby clippers really the best option? I couldn't figure out how to work them around his teeth because his mouth opening was so small.

Yeah I know how you feel about the people jumpin down your throat for feeding them guppies. There are lots of people that are against live feeding and think its unhealthy but I just breed my own guppies and then feed them to quite a few of my fish. They will kill and eat other fish in the wild so why not let them do it at home too? I mean guppies arent exsactly what they would eat in the wild but as long as it isnt all you feed them it is great for them, plenty of exsorsize(sp?). Just make sure the guppies arent diseased. I found out how much they loved to eat guppies when I had them in my FW tank with my marble goby, dont worry it was only for a day or two as I had a little situation with my BW tank. But yeah they started pickin them off whenever they would get close and then within the next two or three hours they were actively hunting them down. Flashing their black spots and so-on, really putting on quite the show.

Anywho, hopefully it works out for you with your little guy, I hope one of those meds works. Please let me know the progress. It was my pleasure to find that info for you.

Well, bad news. Cerebus died.

However, I know the culprit. It wasn't lockjaw. My testing strips have been giving me a bad reading apparently. I took some water into my work to study it with our colossal amounts of test kits and turns out my nitrites were sky high at 10! I threw out the old kit which wasn't expired so...I don't know what the deal was. I did a 35% water change and used Amquel Plus and slowly it has come down to normal. Unfortunately it took the loss of a fish in the process.

I really began to worry when my second puffer (my oldest, Barlow) stopped eating, as well. However, he is eating and active and chasing brine shrimp and snails and everything. He is such a trooper. I have seen him out live two other puffers so I am thinking I will just keep him by himself for now on since my luck with second puffers isn't really too great.

I clean my tank regularly. I move rocks, plants, everything. I just don't understand how my nitrites got so flippin high.

Would I have a more accurate reading if I used the liquid test kits? I had 5-in-1 strips, but I really wouldn't mind the extra individual testing.

I have had reliable results from a fairly inexpensive Master Test Kit, by Aquarium Pharmecuticals.

Wow, that sucks I am sorry to hear about your loss.

I like liquid tests better, but strips are much more convenient. I think that the problem is that some kits even if they are the same just work better than others, kinda like cars one can run great an the next can be a complete lemon.
