On a lighter note I do indeed have swine flu myself (just had the doctor over) and guess what it pretty much sucks.

Bummer. I had the flu about a month ago. According to local newspaper reports, the flu hit our area earlier than normal this year, and all of the cases were swine flu....so I'm assuming that I had swine flu vs. just the seasonal flu.

Pretty much felt the same as the regular flu, except I did develop a nasty sore throat and cough, which I don't recall getting when I've had the regular flu.

honestly, not to sound rude but you really need to get to a doc before you come on here and tell people that you think you have swine flu. If you didnt know already there are MANY strains of flu that have similar symptoms to H1N1. Come on..

Right, but H1N1 is the primary strain going around right now- pretty much anyone who has the flu at the moment has H1N1. Which sucks since the vaccine isn't out yet, and by the time it is, many people will have already had it.

Plus, very few doctors or hospitals are testing for strain. Really, it doesn't matter anyway. All of them suck, H1N1 does suck a little harder- I have a friend who's a doctor and who was saying they've seen a lot more serious cases, as in, admitting people for it than with normal seasonal strains.

The thing I'm worried about is that H1N1 in particular is spreading around campuses pretty quickly from what I have heard...hasn't hit here yet but its close.
