guppies and angelfish virus

Hello all,
I know that some fish can carry the angelfish virus (sorry I don't know the proper name) while remaining perfectly healthy themselves. I know cory cats are one example. Does anyone know if guppies can carry the disease? I do not plan on housing the two species together, but if any of my angels needed a temporary stay away from the others I might houses them with guppies.(If the guppies were too big to be eaten by the angelfish.) This is an unlikely scenario. I am more concerned about contaminating some of my equipment. I really just don't know how careful I need to be.

PS: If you know of other fish that carry the disease or if you know of any documentation about this I would appreciate hearing about that as well.

the angel fish virus (called tubelaria) is very rare in the hobby today as most angels available for sale are captive bred.

however, you need to be careful with adult angels with fish like guppies, they might be nipped or eaten.

but the virus should not be a concern.

the other thing you have to watch is that livebearers tend to like cooler water and angel fish don't .

this might prevent them from doing well together.

I think you would be better with a school of larger tetras than with guppies.
