Hi,
I have 3 male guppies that are about 2 cm in length and i need help to identify them.I'm not sure if they're guppies or endlers.

There is argument that endlers are guppies, but simply a specific locality. Is that enough to distinguish them? In some eyes yes, but for practical purposes they are type strain of guppy with colors and patterns that are identifiable to some degree. Unless you have a source of endlers that are line traced to the collector and have no crosses with lines not traced to those collectors it is likely most endlers or guppies for that matter have some percentage mixed between the two. That sort of going on is a big source of why there are so many color variations in the guppies today. This collection site crossed with that one, plus some encountered and preserved genetic sports result in most of what we have today.

Hi,
If that yellow male breeds with a female and it becomes a good breed does it become a new named breed?

Not a new breed.. but maybe a new color morph...

In theory out can give it your own common name, or name the appearance, hopefully it won't be similar to something that already exists.

Whether endlers and guppies are the same species has been debated for some time. The jury is likely going to remain out forever.

You might have some work to get them to breed true. At first that male will influence the offspring's color, but there will be variation because of the genetics coming from the female. Even good strains still throw occasional variants, and part of the work is removing those from the gene pool. To maintain vigor you would have to work at least two, three or four would be better, separate lines of the same color morph and after a number of generations cross the lines to maintain vigor. Each time you'd do several crosses so you'd end up with as many lines as you started with.
