Guppies

yeah about what I was asking when I first started this thread....about my guppies seeming to "kiss" things like poke at in the tank.....and like staying up at the surface....juts like swimming at the tops..almost like the top of their bodies are sticking out of the water
 
When they are kissing things they are looking for any kind of micro food.alage. Its perfectly normal, and my platies do it all the time. Is they are all at the top they want food. Make sure you are giving enough to them. Mine will do that to, untill they get the food they want. Then to go deeper and start playing.
 
my tetras seem to be eating pretty much all the food...I dont think my guppies are eating right ?

Yeah allergic,
Guppies are just doing this to eat the alage and other micro critters in the tank. They are constantly foraging for food this way. As for the top swimming, most live beaerers are top water feeders and their bodies are designed for eating on the of water. If you ever noticed how flat the tops of their bodies are compared to other fish.
 
yeah I might try that food...thanks..I tried some different flakes with Nito and e'll actually eat them...just Nameo is really fussy
