Guppies!

You'll be fine as long as there are loads of plants for them to hide in.. Mine particularly like java moss - when they're tiny they can get in there and there's also lots to eat.

You won't keep as many of the fry (some will end up eaten) as you would if you speparated, but to be honest with the way they breed - after a while it won't be a problem!
The only thing I'd say is that every now and then you might want to take babies to your LFS to swap for new guppies - just to keep from ending up with a completely in-bred tank. You'll also probably end up taking babies in to swap for food (if it's anything like my 29g I take a bag of babies about once every 3 months)

If ur guppies start breeding like rabbits i'll take em'! my oscar just ate one of my sharks im sure he wood love guppies...lol jk!(not about the shark)
 
do not put more than one male in, and then 3 or four females. You may also want to set up a seperate 2.5 gal or so to move the fry to because the adults will eat em.
