Hi,
I'm not trying to spam but I think I may have posted this in the wrong area earlier. I'm new here and I'm new with breeding guppies. I bought 2 pregnant females and they should pop soon. I think one is about to. My question is about her though. She had the dark spot (indicating babies) then she went opaque in her rear half and the dark spot is gone. Could she have a tumor or something or does this mean she might give birth within a few days? She pretty much "hovers" in one spot (a 5" radius) and "wobbles" semi violently from time to time. Reminds me of a horse having contractions with the way her body moves. My husbands tank has lots of guppies but they are all feeders and I havn't paied much attention to his pregnant females before they birth. If anyone wants me to take (or try to take) a picture of the female in question e-mail or post here and I will post asap. Thanks for the help.

If her 'dark spot' is gone then either she already had the babies, or she 'flushed' them. Most of the time, when they 'hover' they are either scared and trying to get as low to the gravel as possible, or they're haveing their babies. This is all information based on my experience with guppies, and breeding guppies.
