Guppy fry with bent spine. Advice please.

Well, I fed them to my betta :eek3:
He enjoyed the fresh food :o

 ...I just wish I hadn't fed an UD guppy fry to my betta, had me worried that he'd be sick!

my boyfriend had a few female guppies with this deformity. he didn't cull them, and they turned out to be the longest lived and most prolific females he had. the last one died a few months ago and was over 3 years old, and almost 3 inches long. he theorized that because of the placement of the "humpback", the spine was up out of the way and allowed more room in the lower abdominal area, which made it easier for "Big Momma" to give birth, thereby reducing birthing-related stress and damage, and prolonging her life.
