Would this be a good plant to add to my 75 gallon community? I have some guppies and platies as well as honey and dwarf gourami. Does it float and is it okay with a power filter? I have an eheim classic canister and a biowheel HOB filter on this tank. I am adding prefilter sponge on the intakes though to avoid sucking tiny fish or plants in. I already have other live plants like amazon sword amongst other things. Just no top/floating plants.

Thanks, I will look into it, maybe ebay has this:) If I can find this plant plus some bulbs for the red water lily type plants I'll be happy!

Well, yes, it grows well...in a needs heavy control way. Way too much maintenance for my lazy style. It doesn't really grow roots so floating is the only way it grows. Be prepared to weed it out heavily as needed. It makes a nice addition to your compost pile...I don't grow it anymore...

Can you post a pic or 3 of your tank, maybe we can suggest something better.

I'm not sure if what I have is guppy grass or java moss, or if those are one in the same, but it does grow like crazy and can take over things. Here's a couple crappy pics of my 29g with it.
