Okay, well i have really missed having pure strain gupps. around. they always kept me busy and i miss them.:nilly::nilly: here is my plans for the future-

29g- (current) mixed guppies- this is my colony i've had for atleast 6 yrs. they will be my color cull tank from my pures.:y220e:

29g(future)- colony of some pure strain. i haven't decided what i like yet.:y220e:

2-10g- spare to tanks for seperating fish for sale- or start a small colony of endlers;)

Nothing better than seein 2 guppies turn to 80 guppies :thumbsup:
 
Sounds like a super plan! :) A 10 gallon tank dedicated to Endlers (pure if you can find) would be AWESOME as well. :) I finally have a established colony of Endlers and they definitely have their individual charm that is unique from guppies. For a pure strain, if you can find them, half black yellows or pastels -- platinum mosaics - albino pastel and/or blue mosaics -- long finned lace - blue topaz ribbon - blue grass ribbon. :)

I would include Moscows but everyone seems to have Moscows in their collections nowadays.

I'm not a huge fan of moscows. HB's i have had.... plat. mosaics are sooo nice! any mosaics are IMO. blue topaz are really nice.

I used to have Japanese Pandas..... OMG! Selling those was probably the BIGGEST regret in my fish hobby. They were the most unique...active... bubbly little guys ever!!!! But they are sooo rare. I haven't been to able to find them since.

I havent told my mom about my plan yet. She was so happy about only have one tank.... well, we will see how she takes it. We talked about more fish in the past and there have been......... disagreements.
*10 mins later*

Ok well, my mom says no to more guppies :jaw::omg: i couldnt believe it.:cry: She likes the idea of a self sustaining colony (like a previous thread) but she says the livebearers are getting old:wall:
