Good day from the heartlands of America. I'm Nick, very new to the forum, fish keeping, and a first time poster. I look forward to learning from the community. Let me begin by jumping on in. I have a 20 gallon fw and a 10 gallon fw tank. The 20 has 7 guppies and 4 platy with 2 ghost shrimp. There are also 2 otos working on keeping the tank clean. The 10 has my betta named Bruce (loved Finding Nemo). My question for the group would pertain to the 20 gallon and the ghost shrimp. I purchased 2 gs from Petco and immediately noticed that one had a nice collection of eggs in her belly. A couple days after she was introduced to the tank, I found what looked like an algae tab filled with these little white bubbles with black dots the size of a pen tip in it. I keep this tank between 76 and 78 degrees and do water changes of 20% every two weeks. My question is, is this indeed the nest from the ghost shrimp, or did my guppies/platies already have some fry without me noticing they were preggo??
