The female guppy I put in my 35g hex has begun to look different. Her spine and tail have curved downward. I think it may be because she always stays near the top of the tank so she curved it like that to make it easier to swim upward? It's odd. Here's the pic:

What do you think?

hm, could just be bad breeding making the spine bow as she gets older...i have an older breeding female that has done this but she gets huge just before dropping.
if shes eating still and moving around it could just be bad genetics...she pretty none the less ^_^
here is my large female with the same..she is close to 3 inches and in the box dropping fry in the first pic and just done in the second.

I didn't know guppies got that big! Mine is maybe an inch and a half long and a quarter inch tall. That guppy looks huge. So I guess she's just deformed. Maybe I'll call her quazi

yeah shes about a year and a half..one of my best breeders ^_^ the darker female next to her in her 'skinny' shot has a huge tale and lovely fins as well ^_^

Oh well. She's just special. (Derrr) lol

I don't have good luck with females of any type. Fish or human!

My female guppy that died several months ago was around 3 inches long, maybe even longer, and her spine and tail were completely curved downward. It may have something to do with age and gender.
