I found this link on the USDA site for Federal Noxious/Invasive Weeds...

Too bad we can't just walk out side and gather enough Hygro for our tanks to fill the classified section! :grinno:

Also, Frogbit is on there too...

Actually, and unfortunately, in many areas of the US you can already go out and collect as many of these invasive species as you want. Especially in your warmer states, these invasive species have already been discarded and taken over.

Duckweed is all over the place in the American River up in Napa. I know Tom Barr said that you can find tons of crypts in Florida rivers. Neither are technically native, but not classified as "invasive" either. Duckweed should totally be invasive.

lol theres so much duckweed up where i live theres no point in buying it! a guy i know goes and collects that and puts it in his pond for his koi.

Come get all the Water Hyacinth you want, Egeria Densa, Cabomba, Eurasian milfoil.

Bring a dump truck. Anywhere near Sacramento CA.
We got hundred's of acres, thousands in some cases.

If you take a canoe trip down the Santa Fe river in Florida, you can see miles of that Dang Hygro there. You see why it's a weed and why they ban it. Hydrilla is even worse. We have 300-400 species to chose from pick something else and don't complain.

Tom Barr
