Does anyone have experience with this product? I find myself with what I would describe as a "moderate" snail infestation. I bought some of this "Had-A-Snail" product, and upon reading the label I noticed that it says "Care should be taken with live plants and catfish". My tank is a 10 gal planted aquarium and I have a couple otocinclus catfish. It also says "do not use with less than 25ppm hardness", and my water is extremely soft. Any thoughts? I'm a bit concerned about using the stuff now.

Chemicals are never the way to solve any problem....
#1 Feed less this will help kep the population under control and stop them from spreading.
#2 Bait and remove use a piece of lettuce, green bean what ever works and wait until it is covered in snails then remove and dispose of it.
#3 Get something like an Assassin snail or 2 and clean up your problem naturally. #1 and #2 are your better bets with soft water though.

ive used it before many years ago when i had plastic plants. i wouldnt use it with any live plants. just take the snails out by hand.
Thanks for the feedback. Unfortunately, I really don't think removing them by hand is a viable option. The plants are so dense that there is simply no way I could possibly reach them all.

The only way I found it works is if you mechanically remove the snails and then dose them with this stuff in a small cup of water. LAST thing I want is snails crawling back up out of the drain!! EEEEEWW! In my tank, forget it - no results whatsoever.
