I just picked up the Fluval 88g-co2 set-up. I put the thing together last night. So far it look likes its operating well. I can't wait to see what kind of growth I get with my plants. Anyone know where I can get the 88g-co2 canisters in bulk? I see a 3-pack for around 36 dollars but if I can get a 5 or 10 pack that would be better.

Have the same set-up not in use yet though ....
Have not seen a refill pack in anything bigger than (3)...
And believe you me I have looked ..however google is your friend lol

I'm quite sure the 3 pack is the most you can get.

It should work quite well in your 38 gal.
Mine even did some good in my 70 gal tank as far as I could tell.
They seem quite reliable although the canister won't last long. I've had one last about 2 weeks running 24/7.

Canadian pricing is usually quite a bit higher than in the U.S.
I would expect you should be able to get that kit for under $50. in the States , but the small replacement CO2 cartridges are quite expensive and don't last very long.

Replacement cartridge pricing is the usual drawback to these.
Some of them - Some not all and I don't know if any still on the market - could use the BB gun or paint ball gun 88 gram cartridges with an adapter.
