Currently, I have a Coralife Aqualight SW 36" double light (42 watts, 21 watts each, 10K and Actinic) fixture. I'm wanting to swap out the actinic light bulb. I'd rather not pay shipping and all that. I saw a bulb that fights into the light that's 39W (should give me a little more light). It was the Hagen T5HO light bulb (39W, 6700K) I was wondering if it would be okay to put that type of bulb into the coralife? That would make things much cheaper.

Any ideas?

Not sure which ballast the CL fixture uses but generally speaking you can't just swap bulbs like that. The odds are that the ballast is very specific to the type and number of bulbs the fixture came with. Electronic ballasts such as the Workhorse series will fire any combination of fluorescents of any common type up to the total wattage capacity of the specific balllast, but I don't the CL unit has this type of ballast. The only way to find out is to open up the fixture and eyeball the ratings on the ballast.
