So i was dong a water change and noticed that 1 of my ghost shrimp had dissapered. After a while i was loking in my aquaclear filter, and i noticed a ghost shrimp swimming around the well underneath the media! I took the media out and pulled him out, he looks like hes doing good. I never would have guessed he would live.. my, filter, being an aquaclear, means that the shrimp got sucked in the tube, through the hole with the spinning propeller thing, and down into the media chamber :P.

Lucky little fart, isn't he? :)

This reminds me of a Firebelly Newt I used to have when I was younger. I had him in my 10 gal aquarium for a short time because something had happened to his 5 gal aquarium. Anyway a day or two later I noticed that the Newt was missing. I thought he had gotten out so I looked everywhere around the aquarium hoping to find him before he got too dried out. Well a couple days passed and I couldn't find him or his body anywhere. It was time for me to replace the filter so I opened the top of the filter and what to I see. The little newt pops his head out. Apparently he had climbed his way up the spill way and was just chillin in the reservoir of the tank.

I doubt he went up the intake. Aquaclears have a large enough opening for the return that fish and shrimp can easily jump in that way and be just fine. I've pulled shirmp, neons, and khuli loaches out of my AC's. Oh, and lots of snails!

Hmm when im sleepin at night all i hear is *Crunch!* *Crunch!*

I take it my snails arent so lucky....
