sorry for bugging everyone trying to id these things that came with my live rock but better safe than sorry.....ive got a beige hairy crab living in a crevice in my rock....it doesnt move much but does when i squirt some shrimp beside it.....ive been feeding it that way for a couple of weeks and it seems to be doing fine and doesnt seem to be bothering anything like the corals, shrimps and hermits i have in there.....so just wondering if it will be ok and wont turn into some fish eating monster overnight......thanks for the advice guys this site is awesome!

there is a possibility that it could be a gorilla crab...if that is the case, i would get it removed mate...they are quite the scavenger and will readily eat anything that they can...If you cannot get an ID on it via google imagine search or something...remove it...it is really not worth the risk..

Just my opinion

Banish him to the sump, I hate killing stuff. He'll have the time of his life! If you can't lour him out and catch him (without causing heaps on damage), then you can always add him and the host rock to the sump together...(any excuse to get more).
