Halfmoon Betta

I was at Petco yesterday and saw the most beautiful Betta - the tiny bowl it was in said "Halfmoon Betta" I can not stop thinking about this guy, and I am going back after work to get him. It was a purple and cream color!!

I will also have to get him a home as I have no spare tanks. Is a 3 or 5 gallon big enough? It is possible that it could end up in a 10g.

Sometimes the 10g are as cheap as the smaller ones if you have the space. But 3-5 is good. I think Petco is having a 1 gallon 1 dollar sale just check the site. Also buy a small filter and set it too low and a small heater and a few real plants and you have the start of an excellent betta habitat.
 
He was close to the bottom of the shelf and that Petco is not very busy.

Real plants and such were my plan :) I think I will cry if he is not there.
