well yesterday i found this little chinese lfs. and it has halfmoons and plakats yay! shouldi get a halfmoon or a plakat?
btw the store temp is about 80 degrees F room temp, and my house is like 72 and the bettas have been in tanks this temp their whole lives. will they make it??
p.s. the store does not have fish refund policies so once you buy it whatever happens is ur repsonsibility

wait i think i might wanna make this into a poll...how do u do that??
ps. thank for the quick reply

Could only do a poll from the begining. Also to choose what you want a poll isnt really needed. Halfmoons are nice but as stated above they need to be flared to really notice it so unless your aiming to get 2 and have them side by side to incourage flaring Ide go with which ever looks best when not flared up. Good luck just keep in mind a betta is a betta plakat crowntail halfmoon. They all look nice in there own way. As far as temp goes. As long as the temp change is gradual they will be fine. Mine are in the same temp as your house.

I vote halfmoon... don't know what you guys are talking about; flared or not, you can definitively notice the difference in the betta's fins and they look gorgeous. Plakats are quite dull and they're more aggressive than regular bettas, so if you ever decide to put it in a community tank you'd have a hard time.

I would get a heater set to about 78 degrees Fahrenheit because 72 degrees Fahrenheit is way too cold for a Betta. They won't do as well in a tank that is not kept to that temperature.

As for what kind of Betta to get it is up to you but I personally would get a halfmoon.

um bettas can be at room temps with no heath probs just as long as its not in the 60s i had bettas at 72 even 70 with no probs
