halfmoons - whats the verdict?

I bought a few 'half moon' bettas on a recent trip to thailand, and am now attempting to breed them.

I was just wondering what everyone thinks of them, whether they are superior to the standard 'veil tails' we all know, and also (most importantly) are they worth the money??

Halfmoons are beautiful.
Whether or not they are worth the money depends on how much you spent
Colours/genetics also come into play with the price of these beauties.

I spent around $30 per pair (3 pairs)

They were - super red halfmoon, steel blue and melano (black)

I agree, I think they are way superior - apart from the fact they are stunning, halfmoons are also better equipped (in terms of fin morphology)to simply 'swim' than standard veil tails.
