Hamanishiki

Here's my new hamanishiki, Caroline. For a pearlscale, she has a much more elongated body and I prefer pearlies this way. Less risk of buoyancy issues.:thumbsup:

I love hamanishikis, although I prefer the more rotund ones. Mine especially has buoyancy issues :irked: but here's my favorite! he/she's about 1.75" pushing 2" now

Had to look up what the difference between a regular pearlscale and a hamanishiki was--very cool fish. It's interesting that despite the origination and popularization stemming from China, most of the common names are Japanese...
