I have a couple 29g leaker tanks in the basement so I decided to reseal at least 1. My basement is unheated so it's a little chilly down there. Between that & holding onto a razor blade for a while my hands have be cramping up.

Finally got most of the old silicone off before I gave up for today. I think I forgot the technique or it used to be a "couples" project, it was more work than I remembered. I'm hoping for a sympathy massage tonight, my feet are cold too.

Quick question: it's rubbing alcohol that gets the residue off, right? Any other tips?

Drink more water, will help cramping...

Potassium will help with cramping so bannana anyone? I know paint thinner will get the silicone off so will goof off, But i wouldn't use it on my tank

LOL, thanks guys. I did water (because I was thirsty) & a banana (because it was ripe) but I have to say the massage seemed best ;). The basement is also for wine storage so no space heater , good thought though.

(& it is rubbing alcohol)

no problem:thm:
