Hand Feeding?

People hand feed their piranhas, I think you're safe hand feeding a betta. Never gotten bit by mine and I'm always in there rearranging things or squeezing out debris from the bottom.

My betta completely ignores my fingers, whether there's food there or not. The other fish, though..! Danios tickle
I hand fed my goldfish for a long time, when she was too ill to stay at the surface to eat.

I've had my entire hand down the throat of a thrashing, hungry 4-5 ft Tarpon. Now they do pack a bite. I'm just glad it wasn't a shark.
