Hands in fish tank

my betta tries to eat my fingers, he knows that little worm and flake like chunks fall off them, and he wants the WHOLE tamale instead of those tantalizing bits. my rasboras fear the hand (as they do pretty much anything alive), but if I leave it in the motionless for long enough, they try to eat my hair. my oto will actually sit in my hand and suck on it.

When I'm filling up test tubes for water tests, my platies nibble at my fingers, but when the gravel vac enters the tank they fear the hand! My betta always has to check out what's going on though. My cories don't seem to care.

Not to mention. . . . FISH TB!?!?!

When your hands rot off you'll have to type with your nose. . .

I always wear gloves when working with the aquariums. They may be cute....but I'd rather be safe than sorry. It's for my good and theirs too. Also....if you are treating with Melafix....it has been proven to cause birth defects. BE CAREFUL!

My rainbows pull the hair out of my arm when I'm changing water. They are so quick I can't dodge them.

my oscar used to rub against my hand like a cat. all my other fish would disappear.

My new gourami came up to my hand today, and I actually sort of pet/touched it. /tear This one has such a beautiful personality. He hasn't been afraid of me from day one. He even comes up to my hand to eat. I'm trying not to get too attached to him. It's only been 6 days. I lost my last one to Ich on Day 9. That was devastating. This new guys colors and personality is really awesome though. I can't wait until I can get him off the floor into the display tank and actually visit with him. When I know he's not going to bring an illness of course.

That being said... I'm still wondering if he's coming close to bite me. I'm afraid of getting bitten... glad it hasn't happened yet.

As far as hands go, I never wash mine in soap. I contaminated my tank with surfactants in the ammonia. I hate soap. My practice is very very hot water for about 30 seconds, up to my elbows.

They just play around my hand LOL
They try to bite, but they cant:D
