Hanging aquariums

the filtration is set up like a sump, separated from the tank and water goes to and from the tank via tubing inside the metal hanging apparatus. the site for these tanks says you can have your filtration situated up to 500 feet away. i know i wouldn't want to trouble shoot a problem with that system! lol.

Where the heck do you put the filtration while maintaining the cordless and plumbingless look of the aquarium?

Apparently, they include something like 500 feet of tubing that go through the metal pipes so you can place the filtration elsewhere. The site on the link has a lot more information than what's in this post.

I'd much rather build a small section of wall in the middle of the room with a normal aquarium, where I could use my own choice of filtration which could be housed underneath, and not have to worry about it coming crashing down someday. When it comes to the lives I have accepted responsibility for (not to mention my carpeting & floorboards) I prefer not to take chances with flashy gimmicks. Especially when the gimmick is a 100g tank for $5000.
