Just wondering of all my options when it comes to tankmates for haps and peacocks. Would be ideal if it also came form the same region. Thinking about a small group of Synodontis petricola and or Synodontis multipunctatus. Thanks

Synos are great companions to haps and peacocks. If you are looking for somethign besides bottom dwellers there are a few less aggresive Mbuna that mix well.
WEll sad to say there isn't realy a good place to buy africans. I would say the best place is probably Big al's, another place used to be Aquarium illusions but they dont' really keep much fresh water anymore. Big al's has the best selection but at times the fish dont' always look so good.
I dont' really buy my fish at any stores anymore. I have found that i can find pretty much any fish i want through the aquarium club and the clubs auction. I haven't bought a fish from a store since i joined.

YEah i know a couple people who have S.fryeri and red empress(i have red empress but they aren't breedign right now). Not sure about the A.stuartgranti or the syno. There is somebody in the club that is breedign synos i think.
