whats the easiest way to remove hard water stains from the Inside of your tank, i have a 40g hex (pics as soon as i get it up and running), there is hard water stains along the bottom and each side, also what would be the best filter and heater for this tank, i am going to make it a heavily planted rasbora tank. any input will be greatly appreciated

As long as the tank is completely empty, I use something like CLR or LIME Remover. Then I make sure I rinse it off REALLY REALLY well and while I am rinsing I wipe every area with my hand to make sure I am getting all the chemicals off.

You can take that information at your own risk because it can be deadly to your fish if you don't get all the chemicals off.

Get a razor blade like from a utility knife. It will come off very easily if you put the blade at a small angle with the glass and scrape. Then have some water on hand to rinse it off as you have scraped it off. If you don't rise, it will harden again.

NEVER USE CHEMICALS  unless its aquarium safe, which i think they do make.. use razorblade, white vinegar, and a scrub brush

I like to use simple solutions to get these stains off glass. I've found a white vinegar solution works great or even lime juice as they are both acids and should get rid of the stains no probs...
