Hardest plants for you to grow

I had some baby tears in my tank, but had to remove them today because they were just turning brown. They had a tramatic experience coming home after I got them. Bag had no water in it and my 10 minute trip took over an hour and a half. I think i'll try them again though because they did look nice. I had them trimmed short for a foreground plant. I might just use them as a mid/background plant and get ricca or dwarf hairgrass for my foreground. I can say my cabomba is growing crazy. I've always had luck with that and vals. My red leaf plants are doing pretty good also.

I have nesea sp. in my tank and it stayed red but the new shoots are green.
I will wait a bit and see... needs more light than my 20 watt tube gives off,
however with the reflector and white sand, most others are doing ok.

At first I was interested in planted tanks, but the next one I think I'll aquascape with plastic plants and maybe anubis lol. I want more variety in fish without worrying that they nibble the expensive vegetables.

Anacharis is another plant I can't get to grow. I've tried rooting it in my 75 and floating it. Both methods produced new shoots but they soon die or never grow over 3 inches.

I thought we were the only ones who couldn't grow this oh-so-easy  plant! We've tried both floating and rooting in two different tanks and neither produced more than a couple of shoots and gradual death. :thud:

ha... java moss seems like a hit or miss. it always has grown slowly for me, but seems to take off in my friends' tanks. our water chemistry is exactly the same. i know there are plenty of variables, but still.

agreed with the hornwort and cabomba. they never seem to grow the way "we" want them to. bummer.
