i have seen my rasboras body wiggle and spar but no breeeeeding yet

mine spar all the time.... there are two males in particular (actually the only two males XD) who square off all the time.... lots of bravado and mild nipping, but they dont seem to hurt themselves so im not overly concerned. I assume they're competeing for leader of the group or some such other position. no breeding yet; I dont think I have enough, either that or they are all related.

I'd like to know also. I'm not really interested in breading them, they are most likely all brothers and sisters since they came from the same tank. But I'd like to know how many male and female I have.

look at the triangle mark... in males, it has a well-defined bottom edge and is slightly larger than in females. in addition, the stripe on the tail extends a little past the caudal peduncle in males.

yeah.. the black triangle is clean cut and really dominant. the females triangle is more softer and a little rounded at the bottom

I've seen some minor squabbling from my Espei's - nothing overly serious though. They school for the most part, but there are some distinct areas of the tank that are 'off limits' to other members.
