Hi all I have a groups of harlequin rasboras and two of them seems to have some sort of wierd dance. they go side by side, and start swaying their tails and then after thet, they start chasing each other and nipping each other. is this some sort of agression? I only have three in the tank so far. Is it possible that this agression is because there aren't that many females to balance out the group? pleaze help!

How large is your tank?
What other fish are in the tank?

If your tank is large enough, I'd suggest adding at least 3 more for a group of 6+. IMO this is a good general rule for many schoolers such as rasboras, tetras, or barbs. Harlequin rasboras are generally very peaceful. If you don't notice nipped fins, chances are things are normal. However, adding more schooling fish usually helps to balance out any aggression.

well the size of the tank is about 20 gallons, and yes, im planning on adding more. they dont seem to have any nipped fins so I guess it is okay. I used to keep neons and they just started to nip eachother so much that they killed each other off. I just dont want the same thing to happen again. oh and I have some ghost shrimps, a betta, and a cory cat with them.

lol whoops! I meant EXACTLY at 20 gallons. well I dont know the dimensions, and im alittle too lazy to get all of the rulers out, but it is a 20 gallon long that is alittle deep.

I wouldn't worry; it's probably just a little dominance play to see who's the boss. I agree that you should get 3-4 more, since schoolers are more comfortable in a group.
