Has anyone on here built like a real stand for a 2.5 gallon tank?? it would be a neat project..by stand i mean like a stand for a 150 gallon but for a 2.5 gallon,

i know it would be tipsy but make the base wider..

IMHO, it isn't worth building a stand for 2.5g. Any tank that small would fit on a shelf, table, counter, etc.

I think he is going more for the "wow, that is neat" factor than practicality. I don't see why you couldn't build a stand for your 2.5 if you wanted, something similar to what was posted above and finished with some nice hardwood paneling and stained.

I would do something small. LIke maybe something a single pole with a small top and 4 legs. or make something like a CD rack or something. That way it's just not a stand, otherwise it will look out of place.
