Was taking random pictures of my tanks today and I noticed that one of my female pleco's tail is split. I have never noticed it before so either I'm not very observent or she did something to rip it.
Is this normal or should I take her out and QT her til it heals?

It's up to you whether you want to place her in the the QT or not. That tail can still patch itself up. Just need lots of water changes to do that job.

Actually there is no need to QT the fish at all. Fin splits happen as they tussle with another pleco or are just careless in somewhere that they swim to in the tank. It is not like an open wound or anything like that. Think of these splits like a torn fingernail. Keep up with normal good tank maintenance.

Yes, I've seen that with my calico longfin two different times. I agree with Debbi... wouldn't QT her for this. Just keep the tank water clean (obvious) and it will mend together just fine.
