Has your fish bitten you? What type and how did it feel?

of all the fish that can bite me, the ones that bug me the most, without a doubt, are my ocellarus clowns.

Every single time I do a water change and stick my hand in there, they'll pick at my arm and hands. Drives me nuts.

My oscar has grabbed my thumb before while doing water changes. It's powerful jaw scared me at first and it just looked like a scrape from where her mouth had been. Didn't hurt but I will admit I screamed like at girl when she first got me.

most of my fish seem scared of me when i am doing water changes except my betta. however the other day my african butterfly fish charged me from the other side of the tank. it scared the crap out of me but didnt hurt.

I got bite by one of my neolamps last week, the fish is about 2" and it actually drew blood, quite a bit for the size of the bite. Didn't overly hurt at the time, and wasnt until about 5 mins later that I realised it was bleeding.. but after 30 mins or so it stung pretty good.
what kind of neolamps do you have?

my enantiopus likes to get carried away when eating and he'll rasp my fingers thinging their food, feels funny. ive been trying to get my multies to bite me but they dont. and when i had a GSP i would have to pull my hand out every time it would charge at me.

this isnt quite the same but my otos have stabbed me when trying to get them out of the net. as well as a pleco i was messing with

A 3 year old thread is resurrected for our entertainment once more!

Yes, I have been bit by fish that can, and stabbed by others that can't. The stings and cuts from things like channel cats burn for a few days.

iv'e been bit by a cleaner wrasse many times..it dosn't feel to good..iv'e also been bit by a lawnmower blenny..and almost bitten by a flame tale blenny..i think the blennies are just being territoral..but the cleaner wrasse was just trying to clean me..lol

Been bitten more times than I can remember but here are two that stand out. Got bit by a 4" Red Belly Piranha as I was checking it out to issue credit. I didn't know I was bitten until I noticed the water in the bucket had a pink tinge! Two stitches to close it. A 26" Bumblebee Grouper used to get me every once in a while when I cleaned his tank. It felt like getting punched by someone who wrapped their fist in very coarse sandpaper. I think of that fish every time I order Grouper to eat!
