Has your fish bitten you? What type and how did it feel?

I got bit by a 12" oscar once. It startled me more than it hurt. He did manage to draw blood on both sides of my finger though. As for getting finned from catfish, rub the area that got finned on the cats belly and it won't sting any more. At least this works for native catfish, never got finned by a protical though. Yes this does work, my grandfather taught me that when I was 6 or so and have done it every time since. I got tagged by a northern pike once and that does not feel good at all and it bleed profusely for @ 30 minutes.

A couple years ago, I was working at a LFS when I was bagging a wolf fish for a customer...I think you know where this is going...Anyways so when I was about to fill the bag with oxygen, the wolf fish bit my finger through the bag! This instantly popped the bag, water began to spew everywhere so I ran to the tank to drop him back in...When I finally checked my finger I had two rather large puncture marks in my thumb, w/ quite a lot of blood coming from it!! It was not a good day...

my SAE do and it tickles.....

I've been bitten by a midas, oscar, arowana, and a datnoid. They all didn't feel like anything much the arowana, it felt like sand paper. The cichlids were like a scratch.

Ive had multiple fish bite me. One was a Punpkinseed sunfish, he probably thought my finger was a worm or somthin. Another was my 7-8" goldfish called Jack Jr., he prob thought _______. You willl notice that its blank. He doesnt think. The sunfish bite hurt, but not too much. The Goldfish bite was painless, as they have not teeth (as far as i can tell). The latest fish to bite me was my Clownfish, Named Marlin (after Nemo's dad). He is to small to even fell pain, wouldn't have noticed if i hadnt seen it.

ive been bitten by ghost shrimp and it fells awesome (it tickles and its funny to watch)
as far as fish BITES go its not usualy that big a deal(untill you get into sharks and gars and stuff)
the real painfull problems usualy occur when your messing with the fishes natural defence mechanism
like wraping your hand around a raphael catfish when moving wood
those spines are SHARP and they HURT . . . ALOT
