Has your tank survived an earthquake of 5.0 or greater?

My 75g acrylic survived the 1989 Loma Prieta Earthquake - 7.2 - and all the aftershocks. We were on the third floor. Shook around, sloshed water, but it was fine.

My tank took a whopping 3.1 in 2000 (I didn't even know there'd been a quake until I heard it on the news)...
Kas, did we have an earthquake that measured 5.0 on the Richter scale in TO, or were you living elsewhere?

I have a few glass 50g and they survived a pretty big earthquake, actually we get earthquakes here in Japan all the time
Yes, Japan does shake alot, so if your tanks can handle it, I am confident that with careful placement (not near stuff that could fall on it) my tank will do pretty well too.

And now I have to be :OT: for just a moment since you are in Japan. I do not know where you are located, but if/when you make it into Tokyo, be sure to stop in at my sister's resturant featuring California cuisine. It is a wine and art bar and resturant with its own personality. I could tell you where it is, but I can't recall the distict's name, just that it is a major business center. Check out her website for info and updates on current music and art happenings.
