ok, so I have 3 clutches, 1 was laid on 3/25 it has been floating in a container ontop of a filter pad on a damp tissue, it doesn't look like it has changed much what should be happening after the 1st week? how will I know if it is fertile? oaddly enough i have witnessed all 3 frisky moments and all 3 layings. my tank is nice and humid for the hatching just making sure I am doing things right. (the 2nd clutch is in the container witht he 1st one and the 3rd one I may leave where it was laid it looks like nothing will effect it) I haven't gotten any tips or tricks of the trade but would like not to kill these little ones!)

They get a blueish cast to them at about 8 days. Its the babies about to chew threw the eggs. Sometimes you can see airbubbles as well.

it really depends on temp and humidity. Mine almost always hatch at 8-9 days, but with cooler temps and lower humidity it can take up to 2 weeks. I would observe them for another week before breaking them open to see. When they get the blueish cast, its really obvious.

If the clutches got too wet, the eggs could have been damaged. They do need to stay out of the water, until they hatch.

alright, well I moved it to a container and put it ontop of my light for warmth, lets see if tht works, i doo think it's too humid in my tank, I took the eggs from the raft and they had condensation on them so too much humidity now lets see if they dry and do anything! this is trial and error here since no one will share their secrets, the stickie doesn't give very many ideas! we'll see!
