Dixienut, I could spend DAYS grooming those beasts! They are pretty dogs but boy, a lot of coat huh!!!

actually snowflake i went in after i took pics and burshed her and it just came out all at ones but wow the mess in the ground,.. but most of them don't like to be brushed it comes out fine not a lot of pullomh but their but us where they tend to run or nip,.. just don't like to be bothered,.. and its hard to hold them and brush at same time when they are as strong as a horse,.lol

It's fun to get it out when it's already let go and is just setting there for the brushing! To keep one of those guys in tip top shape, you'd have to bathe and fully groom them every 2 weeks or so. There is a tool called a mat splitter made by "Oliver" that has a little razor blade in it. It's very effective on the matting that can happen on their rear but you have to use it carefully. They are a lot of work. Fortunately, I don't groom any large hairy dogs anymore. I just don't have the time for it these days.
